Just how fast is the FK8 Honda Civic Type R? This is a pretty good case study of just how bonkers modern mainstream hot hatch performance is becoming. This is ostensibly a five-door family hatch, albeit a fairly spicy looking one, that gets from 0-62mph in 5.7sec and tops out at 169mph.

This will remove the shift boot assembly, it includes the trim portion that holds the badge plate of the Type R. There are a few screws that hold this in place. If youâre just after replacing the shift boot (and not the assembly itself), the shift boot can be removed from the underside.
